I - R
This assignment is so fun I keep forgetting I'm doing homework. Also, I just realized that I missed Holden Caulfield... he was on my list, but somehow I forgot about him! This is a problem...
The Invisible Man
Jane Eyre
Shere Khan from The Jungle Book
Lancelot from Arthurian Legend (and lots and lots of literature...)
Meursault from The Stranger
Mrs. Norris from Mansfield Park
Ophelia from Hamlet
Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream
Don Quixote
Romeo from Romeo and Juliet

EFGH
The next four literary characters for the ABC assignment!
Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice
Victor Frankenstein from Frankenstein
(not gonna lie, this one is kind of based off of Benedict Cumberbatch's recent stage version of Frankenstein)
Grendel's Mother from Beowulf
Hamlet

Glen Keane
I haven't really done an "Inspiration" blog post before, but this just felt kind of necessary. Legendary animator Glen Keane, one of my biggest inspirations (and an inspiration for many, many illustrators), is leaving Disney Animation after 38 years. For me, anyway, it officially marks the end of an era that seemed to be coming to a close when Disney turned away from 2D animation in 2004, and that's a sad thing. I just hope that wherever he goes after this he'll continue to contribute to the world of animation.
I thought I'd post a few of his incredible drawings here, so when I scroll through my blog I'll see them and remember the power that a few pencil strokes can have. Sometimes we need to be reminded of the magic of drawing.

ABCD
We have to do an ABC assignment where we illustrate something for each letter of the alphabet. I decided to draw characters from literature. Fun! I drew these in my Moleskine.
Arthur Dent from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit
Cheshire Cat from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby

Some Drawings
Here are some figure drawings from last semester that I didn't get to scan until now. And some critters. Wooooo.
